New Jersey Senate Majority Leader: No events at casinos that won't bargain with dealers
State Senate Majority Leader Steve Sweeney told the Press of Atlantic City that Democratic Party events should not be held at the casinos that have stalled in contract negotiations with UAW.
The New Jersey Democrats would join what is fast becoming a long list of unions and organizations that will not patronize Harrah's casinos until are able to reach a first contract with their dealers.
According to the article, “Whelan said he supports not holding Democratic Party or union events at the casinos where management is stalling or refusing to negotiate.”
